SCIENTIFIC : Oenanthe javanica (Blume) DC.
   
FAMILY : Apiaceae
   
COMMON NAME : Water parsley, water dropwort
   
LOCAL NAME : Selom (M)
     
PREPARATION : The tops are eaten raw in salads or as a garnish similar to parsley. The young stems and leaves are also steamed with rice or boiled and chopped as greens.
   
TRADITIONAL USES : A decoction is used in the treatment of epidemic influenza, fever and discomfort, jaundice.
