COMMON NAME : Chinese ginger, Finger root
     
LOCAL NAME : Cekur (M)
     
PREPARATION : The rhizomes and leaves are used as a spice and flavouring in food.
     
TRADITIONAL USES : The rhizome is boiled and drink as a tonic for health. It is also used as a stimulant and for treating, tootache, coughs, headache and constipation. The leaves are used for treating sore throats, fevers, swellings and rheumatism.
