Ayam berusia 45 hari Ayam kacukan yang sudah mencapai saiz pasaran, iaitu 2.5 - 3.5 kg.

Hasil jualan ayam selepas projek     : RM3,560.00

Selepas ayam daripada projek 1AZAM ini habis dijual, En Nichael telah meneruskan ternakan ayam dengan membeli sendiri anak ayam dan makanan ayam menggunakan modal pusingan hasil jualan.

En. Ng merupakan seorang petani sepenuh masa berusia 46 tahun. Beliau berjaya menambah pendapatan keluarga dan berusaha mengeluarkan keluarganya dari kepompong kemiskinan melalui projek 1AZAM.

The participant is a full time farmer planting baby corn since 2005 on his 0.5 ha land in the kampung. Applied for 1AZAM aid and was approved in 2011. Assisted with fertilizers, corn seeds, chemicals and farm inputs like wheel barrow, sprayer and water pump.

Doing planting in stages (4 stages) so have continuous supply of baby corn for sale. The corn takes about 2 months from planting before it can be harvested. Harvesting is done 3 times a week helped by the wife. Harvested corns are bought back to the house for packing into plastic packets of about 10 corns /packet. Sold to middleman at 60cents /packet. Market price is RM1.00 – RM1.50/packet depending on season.

Before assistance, getting only about RM350.00 per month. After assistance, can get around RM900 average per month.

Started to venture out on his own in 2010 after working for 6 years in a big farm. A full time farmer growing only sweet corn in his parent’s 3 ac. land. This is the first time assisted by DOA’s scheme. 2011 project implemented in Feb 2012. Assisted with sweet corn seeds, fertilizers, knapsack syerayers, power sprayer, wheel barrow, bush cutter and chemicals.

Doing planting in stages (7 stages) with each stage of about 2000 points. Harvested corns are sold to middleman who collects at the farm at RM0.90 for grade A cob and RM0.60 for grade B cob. Each harvesting is about 600-700 cobs.

Before assistance, can earn about RM500 – 600 per month. After assistance, income is about RM1000 per month.
