The Sarawak Department of Agriculture's Procurement Workshop was held at Tanahmas Hotel, Sibu on 20-24 February 2023. The workshop was attended by the Head of the Division, Officers from the Divisional Agriculture office as well as officers from the mechanic scheme owner program of their respective divisions.
Specially invited together is Mr. Dampa ak Long along with 2 auditors, Ms. Melissa Dubah and Ms. Azzila Hipridi from the Internal Audit Unit to be facilitators for the procurement workshop.
The main purpose of this workshop is to review the flow and process of the Department's procurement work, review the Committees related to procurement management, the establishment of a new structure for the department's procurement governance and review the project manual scheme to identify improvements that are required to launch the procurement process in Department.
A total of 65 employees from all departments attended the workshop.
The closing ceremony of the workshop was completed by YBrs Mr. Dominic Anak Chunggat, Director of Sarawak Agriculture. Also with him are Mr. Ronald Ripid; Deputy Director of the Development Sector, Heads of Divisions and Branches, Divisional Agriculture Officers.
